We will allow up to 6 students per enrollment period.  All students must complete all associated course hours per course and pass any final exams with a 65% exam mark. If a course requires case studies after your curriculum, these are required to be completed to your educator's satisfaction prior to issuing a certificate.  If a student is unable to complete the course hours within the contracted time frame and needs additional hours due to missed time, students will have one makeup class within 1 month passed their estimated date to complete the class at no additional cost to the student.  Should the student require more than one class or not makeup the missed class within the 1 month window the student may add an additional class for a $75 per scheduled class charge on additional instruction.  There will only be a 3 month window after the end of the course where classes for final certification can be made.  Anything after 3 months will not be eligible for certification. The unexplained absence of a student from class shall constitute constructive notice of cancellation to the school. For cancellation, the cancellation date shall be the last date of attendance.

DEPOSITS ARE REQUIRED 21 DAYS PRIOR TO START DATE.  Please note, a deposit is required before a kit is ordered to ensure the product is as new and fresh as possible.  If a student is enrolling after the 21 day period, kits are not guaranteed to be in at the class start date.

Professional portfolio shoots:  If a class comes with a portfolio shoot included, NCS Pro Academy / Noir Beauty Lounge will schedule to accommodate our restrictive schedules.  If a student cannot make the scheduled portfolio shoot, they can choose to forfeit the shoot or a $100 portfolio shoot fee will be charged and required to be paid in order to have the shoot rescheduled.  

 

THIS CONTRACT IS A LEGALLY BINDING INSTRUMENT WHEN SIGNED BY THE STUDENT AND ACCEPTED BY THE SCHOOL 

"Non Refundable policy in affect" 

You may cancel your participation in your Course(s) at any time, but please be aware of the following cancellation policy:

It is an extraordinary commitment both time and financially to put together the cosmetic courses, therefore ALL payments are non-refundable, including registration fees, kit fees, full payments and installment payments. The ONLY exception to this policy is if Noir Beauty Lounge cancels the course in its entirety WITHOUT scheduling future dates in which you may transfer your tuition to.  

 

“Respectful and Fair Treatment of Students and Faculty”

 

Noir Beauty Lounge is committed to ensuring that it’s learning environment promotes the respectful and fair treatment of all students. While on Noir Beauty Lounge  premises or while part activities or events hosted by Noir Beauty Lounge , the following activities are prohibited: No Bullying, harassment, or discrimination, between students, staff, and/or administration. No negative or derogatory talk regarding your peers, staff, administration, the school and/or the curriculum. 

Any negative activity should be addressed to your instructor or the director, Sandy Landsborough, to be handled privately.  Should this policy be breached by any student it will be grounds for immediate removal from the program.  There are to be no refunds on the program should you be removed due to this breach.

Student Assessment/Evaluation

At Noir Beauty Lounge , we are committed to providing quality instruction in all our courses. In addition, we are committed to helping students attain their career goals and to prepare them to pass any applicable exams or case studies. In order to achieve our purpose and to assist our students in preparing for their final certification exams, it is our policy to assess and/or evaluate our students’ work in a way that provides them with accurate and timely feedback concerning their practical skills and theoretical knowledge.

 

Student Dismissal

Student dismissal is considered to be the highest form of sanctioning that the school can apply against a student. As such, a student would only be dismissed from the school under extreme circumstances. Student dismissal is guided by the following nonnegotiable legal rules of conduct:

1. The use of alcohol and any illicit drugs within the school’s premises is prohibited by law. Any student caught using alcohol or illicit drugs on the premises would be subject to immediate dismissal and may be subject to criminal prosecution.

2. Stealing is prohibited by law. Any student caught stealing on the school’s premises would be subject to immediate dismissal and may be subject to criminal prosecution.

3. Physical conflict of any sort, including verbal threats of physical harm, constitutes assault or harassment and is prohibited by law. Students engaging in this kind of behaviour on the premises would be subject to immediate dismissal and may be subject to criminal prosecution.

In addition there are additional terms for dismissal through this contract.  Make sure to thoroughly read each section.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS ENROLLMENT

 

1. The Student under this Agreement has signed up for a professional cosmetic training course. By checking the "agree to terms & conditions box agreement,you agree that you are not currently an instructor of any type of 

professional programs Noir Beauty Lounge offers, and you have no intention of becoming an instructor or teaching the same or similar techniques in the future. The student also agrees and understands that any misrepresentation 

under this paragraph shall constitute a material breach of this agreement and the restrictive covenants contained herein, be grounds for immediate dismissal from the Program and the Student shall receive no refund of tuition.

 

2. Copyrighted and Trademarked Material: All publications, materials and videos are copyrighted by NCS Pro Academy / Noir Beauty Lounge  and may not be used, reproduced or disseminated in any manner or “NCS Pro Academy / Noir Beauty Lounge  and its representative logo without the express written consent of the Studio. 

 

3. NON-COMPETITION  The Student agrees that during the term of active study with Noir Beauty Lounge  the student will not, directly or indirectly, as an employee, owner, sole proprietor, partner, director, member, consultant, agent, founder, co-venturer or otherwise, solely or jointly with others engage in any business that is in competition with the business of the Studio within any geographic area in or around Winnipeg, Manitoba, in which the Studio conducts its business, or give advice or lend credit, money or the apprentice's reputation to any natural person or business entity engaged in a competing business in any geographic area in which the Studio conducts its business.

 

4. NON-SOLICITATION:

The student understands and agrees that any attempt on the part of the student to induce other employees, students or contractors to leave the Noir Beauty Lounge, or any effort by the student to interfere with the Studio's relationship with its other employees and contractors would be harmful and damaging to the Studio. The student agrees that during the student's term of study with NCS Pro Academy / Noir Beauty Lounge  and for a period of two (2) years after the end of that term, the Student will not in any way, directly or indirectly:

1. Induce or attempt to induce any employee or contractor of the Employer to quit employment or retainer with the Employer;

2. Otherwise interfere with or disrupt the Employer's relationship with its employees and contractors;

3. Discuss employment opportunities or provide information about competitive employment to any of the Employer's employees or contractors; or

4. Solicit, entice, or hire away any employee or contractor of the Employer for the purpose of an employment opportunity that is in competition with the Employer.

During the term of the student enrolment in the program with NCS Pro Academy / Noir Beauty Lounge and once the student is no longer attending training with the Studio, they agree that for a period of six months immediately after completing their training with Noir Beauty Lounge, they will not directly or indirectly own, manage, operate, control, be employed by, act as an agent for, participate in or be connected in any manner with the ownership, management, operation or control of any business of Makeup Training program. Once the student is no longer 

with Noir Beauty Lounge, they agree not to open any establishment or business pertaining to any type of Beauty Services within a five-kilometre radius of Noir Beauty Lounge for a period of five years. 

 

Noir Beauty Lounge DOES NOT GUARANTEE EMPLOYMENT and we do not have a job placement program.
